Centred on the picturesque town of Keswick, this art society draws members from a wide area in the North and West Lake District and beyond. This is a popular place for artists who enjoy the rugged landscape of the fells and lakes.

Keswick Society of Art exists to support and encourage artists of all levels of experience in the study and practice of painting and drawing and other allied subjects.
Talks and demonstrations by visiting speakers are arranged during the Autumn and Spring. The venue for these meetings is the Methodist Church Hall in Southey Street where there is adequate parking. Dates and times are published in our programme.
Members are also able to take part in day workshops featuring a variety of approaches. During the Summer months friends of the society and members invite us to paint in their gardens.
The social aspects of our society are also promoted by our Christmas lunch in November and a coach trip in the Summer.
To give members the opportunity to show and sell their works, we usually hold three exhibitions annually, with two at the Congregational Hall in Lakes Road and one at Theatre by the Lake.
